Samaj Kalyan Prashikshan Sansthan is a voluntary organisation based at Sheohar, Bihar, registered in 2003-04 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 (Regn. No. 1378/2003-04). The Sansthan was formed by a group of local citizens who wanted a permanent, organised answer to the problems they saw every day around them — children out of school, families with no steady income, and homes quietly falling apart because of alcohol and drug addiction.
Over the years our work has settled into four areas: de-addiction and rehabilitation, vocational training, women empowerment, and public awareness. All of it is run from Sheohar, for the people of Sheohar and the blocks around it.
SAFAL Nasha Mukti Sah-Punarvas Kendra is the Sansthan's de-addiction and rehabilitation centre on Bypass Piprahi Road. It offers medically supervised detoxification, individual and group counselling, family counselling, yoga and meditation, recreation and vocational guidance — with follow-up that continues after a resident goes home.
A person struggling with addiction is a patient, not a culprit. Everyone who walks through our gate is treated with respect from the first minute.
Addiction affects the whole household, so counselling covers the family as well — wives, parents and children are part of the process.
What a resident and their family share with our counsellors stays inside the centre. Records are kept, but they are not shared casually.
Recovery is not finished on discharge day. Skill training and follow-up help a person rebuild income, routine and confidence at home.
Our counsellors are available every day. Call the helpline or visit the centre at Sheohar.
