Treatment at SAFAL Nasha Mukti Sah-Punarvas Kendra begins the day a person is admitted. A health assessment is done first, and the withdrawal that follows is managed under medical supervision, with a visiting doctor and trained attendants available round the clock.
Dependence on alcohol, tobacco, ganja, brown sugar and prescription drugs is treated at the centre. The length of stay depends on the substance, how long the person has been using it and their general health — the family is told the expected duration honestly at the time of admission.
A family member should accompany the person at the time of admission. Please carry an ID proof and any earlier prescriptions or hospital papers. Admission is open on all days — it is best to call the helpline first so that a bed can be kept ready.
Our counsellors are available every day. Call the helpline or visit the centre at Sheohar.
